TextQL, a platform that connects a company’s existing data stack to large language models along the lines of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and GPT-4. It has raised $4.1 million across pre-seed and seed round co-led by Neo and DCM with participation from Unshackled Ventures, Worklife Ventures, PageOne Ventures, FirstHand Ventures and Indicator Fund. DNA Nanobots, a Columbus, OH-based company which specializes in the design and delivery of DNA nanoparticles engineered for targeted therapeutics, raised an undisclosed amount in Pre-Seed funding. The backers were not disclosed. More Here
Arcee, Miami-based startup aims to build entreprise focuseed Gen AI model, it has raised $5.5 million in venture funding to date from investors including Long Journey Ventures, Flybridge, Centre Street Partners, Wndrco, 35V, AIN Ventures and Hugging Face CEO and co-founder Clément Delangue. Motif Neurotech, a Houston, TX-based neurotechnology company developing minimally invasive bioelectronics for mental health, raised $18.75M in Series A funding. Spellbook, a Toronto, and St. Jhon’s, Newfoundland, Canada-based provider of an AI copilot for lawyers, raised $20M in Series A funding. The round, which brought the total amount to over $30M, was led by Inovia Capital. Bilt Rewards, a NYC-based loyalty platform specializing in rent and neighborhood rewards, raised $200m in equity funding. 💰 VENTURE CAPITAL UPDATES
Cardumen Capital, which has offices in Tel Aviv and Madrid, has raised a second fund of $120 million, bringing its total assets under management to $250 million. Cardumen invests in pre-seed and seed-stage startups focused on areas like AI, cybersecurity, and Big Data. More Here

E-commerce company eBay, plans to let go of 1,000 employees or around 9% of its workforce due to the ongoing economic conditions. More Here
The Los Angeles Times announced on Tuesday that it would lay off at least 155 employees, or a fifth of its newsroom staff amid of heavy financial losses. More Here

Apple is delaying the release of its electric vehicle to at least 2028, scaling back on its original plans for a fully autonomous car. The company is simplifying the design and opting for a "Level 2+" autonomous system, focusing on lane centering and adaptive cruise control. This shift follows discussions with the board and signals a departure from Apple's initial ambition for a fully autonomous vehicle without traditional controls. More Here
